Facial Masks for different skin types.

For smooth beautiful skin,there are lots of simple things that you can use in your homes to treat different skin disorders and in essence take care of your skin.

I bring to you different facial masks to suit your skin type.

Pre- Mask Preparation

Before using any type of facial mask, it is important that you prepare your face. The first thing to do is to open the pores of the skin applying steam (put slightly hot water in a bowl, put your face not so close to it and cover your head with towel to allow the steam from the water to touch the face).

1.   Exfoliating Mask:This mask is good for all skin types.What this mask does is to remove dead skin and allows for new skin to be revealed to give a youthful and glowing skin.

1/2 Cup of Oats

4 Tablespoons of Milk

1 Tablespoon Avocado Paste

1Tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions:

Blend ingredients together to make a paste .Next, spread it on the face rub gently in circular motion keeping it away from the eyes (because the skin around the eyes are already thin as it is). Leave for 15 – 20 minutes after which you wash it off with warm water. Do this once in a month or as often as you feel you need it like once in a week..

 

2.   Protein Mask: This mask is very good for oily skin.There are times when we have normal skin but still have oily forehead,nose and chin. I often do this after breaking eggs for use, I usually keep the shell aside to use as mask later.

1 Egg white.

Directions:

Separate the transparent liquid of the egg from the yolk, apply on skin and leave it on for 10 – 15 minutes after which you wash off with water. This helps to open clogged pores and skin feels velvety smooth.

3.   Moisturizing Mask: This is especially good for dry skin but can be used all skin types because the skin needs to be constantly moisturized.This mask adds moisture to the skin.

1 Ripe Banana

2 Tablespoon cold pressed coconut oil

Directions:

Mash the Banana, next add the coconut oil. Mix to make a paste and apply to your face.Leave for 30 minutes and rinse after.

4.   Fruit Mask: This is also good for all skin types because it will provide the necessary nutrients the skin needs.It will help keep skin flexible & firm as it increases collagen production.It will give the skin an even tone, refresh and also moisturize the skin.

1/4 Pineapple

1Tablespoon orange rind (scooped)

1/2  Average sized Cucumber

2 Tablespoon Avocado (mashed)

Directions:

Cut two slices of Cucumber and set aside. Mix all ingredients together & apply to face avoiding the eyes. Then placed the slices of Cucumber on the eyes to reduce puffiness. Leave for 20 minutes & rinse with clean water.
